Fantastic Footwear

Shoe addicts will love the vast selection of flats, heels, and flip-flops that are available at the bazaar. Prices start at Php 250 to Php 480 as compared to the mall where the cheapest footwear you can get usually cost atleast Php 500.

When asked about why people love getting shoes at the bazaar, a sales lady simply said, “Lahat kasi nandito na. Saka kailangan ng mga tao ito e.” (Everything is here. The people need these after all.)

Let ‘em Have Bags

Who doesn’t need bags?     Whether you’re planning on buying a purse for your mom, or a back pack for kuya, Farmers Plaza Bazaar has what you need. Ranging from dainty shoulder bags, to sports bags, to travel bags, you’ll never go wrong the items here.

Prices range from Php 700 to Php 1500. Considering the cost bags usually go for at the mall, it’s easy to tell that these are easier on the wallets. Quality-wise, these bags are guaranteed to withstand normal wear and tear so you won’t have to worry about them getting ripped apart pre-maturely.

How to Get There?

Route map for Araneta Center

Wherever you may come from, there are lots of ways to reach Farmer’s Plaza; after all, Cubao can easily be accessed from almost every direction. Whether you choose to ride a bus, a jeepney, or take the LRT or MRT, you can easily get there.

If you’re coming from the North, you have two options:
1.       Take the MRT or a  bus:
From EDSA, ride a bus southbound to Baclaran or Ayala (make sure signboard says "Cubao Ibabaw") or take an MRT and go down at Cubao.

2.       If you are coming from the nearby northern provinces such as Bulacan or as far as Baguio or Laoag, the key destination in Metro Manila is Cubao, so there is no problem reaching this area.

If you’re coming from the South:
1.       Take the MRT or a bus:
From EDSA, ride a bus northbound to Fairview or Monumento (make sure signboard says "Cubao Ibabaw") or take an MRT and go down at Cubao.

2.       If you are coming from the nearby southern provinces such as Laguna and Cavite or as far as the Visayas and Mindanao, the key destination in Metro Manila is Cubao, so there is no problem reaching this area.

From Manila (Recto, Quiapo, Sta. Mesa) and Katipunan/Rizal area:
1.       Jeep or Bus:
One can ride a jeepney that is bound for Cubao; these jeepneys pass through Aurora Boulevard and would not fail to stop at Cubao to pick up passengers from the perpendicular EDSA.

2.       Bus:
There are also MALTC buses coming from Montalban, Rizal bound for Baclaran, that passes through Cubao.

3.       LRT2 (Purple Line):
Take the Purple Line LRT2 trains and get off at Cubao Station.

4.       LRT1 (Yellow Line) + LRT2 (Purple Line):
If the LRT1 line is near your area, ride the LRT1 going to Doroteo Jose and transfer to the Recto Station of LRT2 via the connecting footbridge.

If you are in the Makati area:

3.       Bus + MRT:
Or you can take the bus bound for Cubao, get off at the Ayala, Buendia, Guadalupe MRT station and board the MRT train until Cubao.

For private vehicles:
Cubao is just mostly concentrated along the northbound side of EDSA between P.Tuazon Avenue and Aurora Boulevard. The area is very traffic-heavy during normal days (as this is a very busy area compounded by provincial buses for commuters) and expect bumper-to-bumper heavy traffic during Christmas season on both sides.
You can also ride a taxi and tell the cabbie you want to go to Farmers Plaza. He’ll know where to take you for sure.
